This customer is from the United States and their company operates a farm machinery service business in Iowa. Their business focuses on agricultural machinery sales, agricultural machinery rental, and agricultural machinery repair and refurbishment. With the growth of the business, the customer has built a new modern workshop next to the factory in recent years, which integrates storage and maintenance. After understanding, the customer said that their workshop is divided into three main functional areas.

In the lead-up to the new shop, the customer said they relied heavily on forklifts and cranes to move heavy parts. But in the course of using it they soon discovered several problems. The first is the limited transportation of forklifts to and from the maintenance station. Because maintenance workstations often have multiple pieces of equipment in operation, forklift access is less convenient. Secondly, mobile cranes require a large amount of maneuvering and are limited in moving around a workshop with a high density of workstations. Finally, workers are sometimes required to manually carry parts, which not only consumes the workers' physical strength, but can also lead to chronic strain injuries. With these issues in mind, they wanted to purchase an overhead crane for handling in their new workshop.

Challenges in a Client Lifting Environment

After several rounds of video conference communication and the workshop drawings provided by the customer, we learned that the customer's workshop has the following lifting restrictions.

Limited Budget The customer indicated that the customer's crane budget was not sufficient due to the new workshop and equipment purchases within the workshop.

Solutions We Offer: 3 Ton LD Single Girder Overhead Crane

Responding to the above challenges, instead of recommending the more expensive and complex Eurocrane or double girder solutions, we offer the 3-ton LD-type electric single girder overhead travelling crane, which has a very mature technical solution. Our aim is to use a proven product structure to make targeted adaptations and spend the cost where it really affects the experience.

1. Non-standard design, adapted to irregular tracks

Due to the concave area on one side of the workshop, we designed asymmetrical endcarriages for the customer: the left endcarriage travel length is different from the right, and together with the customized track alignment, the crane is able to avoid wall protrusions and still cover the entire working area. All rail connection plates, buffers and car stops are prefabricated by us in China and bolted directly on site to avoid cutting and welding on site.

2. Flexible wireless remote control

We come standard with an industrial-grade wireless remote control (the operating frequency meets U.S. FCC standards). The operator can stand on the ground, next to the workpiece, and use the remote control to control the large carriage to travel back and forth, the small carriage to move left and right, and the hoist to raise and lower.

3. CD wire rope hoists

Considering that the environment of the customer's workshop is not harsh (no high temperature, no risk of dust explosion), and the customer himself has the ability to maintain, we chose the mature and reliable CD Single Speed Wire Rope Hoist. These hoists are less costly, simple in construction, have common parts, and spare limiters or contactors are available at your local industrial hardware store.
