Double Girder Overhead Crane with Hoist Sold to Kenya

In 2025, we supplied a 15-ton double girder overhead crane to a customer from Kenya. The customer is a medium-sized logistics and warehousing company. With the expansion of its business, the customer's original warehousing area needs to store heavier and larger goods, such as automotive parts, spare parts for construction machinery, drums of industrial raw materials and metal components. The existing handling methods in the warehouse were not sufficient to meet the need for safety and efficiency, so they decided to purchase a crane. They learned about us through one of their longtime partners, a mechanical assembly plant. That assembly plant purchased our single girder overhead cranes two years ago for mechanical parts assembly, and they have been running stably ever since.

Lifting Requirements

After communicating with the customer, we understand that the customer has the following lifting needs:

• ➢Rated lifting capacity: 15 tons -- Need to lift up to about 14 tons of industrial spare parts or pallets of metal materials.

• ➢Equipment Type: Double Girder Overhead Crane -- Requires indoor installation covering the entire storage operation area.

• ➢Operational Class: A5 -- Long daily operating hours, averaging several hours of operation per day, moderately heavy duty.

• ➢Control Mode: Frequency Conversion Operation + Dual Speed Lifting -- Smooth lifting and precise positioning are required to avoid cargo shaking which may cause safety hazards or cargo damage.

Beyond the basic parameters, the actual environmental challenges faced by customers are even more critical:

1. Limited Warehouse Height: The client's warehouse is an existing steel building with a lower roof height of only 7.5 meters. If a standard double girder crane is used, the ultimate lifting height of the hook may be insufficient, affecting cargo stacking and truck loading and unloading.

2. Wheel Pressure Limitations: The warehouse floor, although concrete, was not specially reinforced for heavy lifting equipment. It is therefore required that the crane wheel pressure is as low as possible to spread the load and prevent the ground from cracking.

3. High operational precision requirements: the narrow channel between the shelves (about 3 meters wide), lifting 15 tons of heavy objects, the need for micro-movement performance and anti-rocking performance is excellent, otherwise it is very easy to collide with the shelves or the surrounding personnel.

4. Electricity conditions: The site power supply is three-phase 380V / 50Hz, and there is no standby power, requiring low energy consumption of the equipment, the start-up current is smooth.
