There is a customer from Russia who wants to buy bridge cranes from a processing plant that produces metal parts and structural components.Since this year, the order volume of their processing plant has been increasing, and the existing equipment is difficult to meet the demand of the production line.In order to improve the efficiency of material handling in the factory and reduce the burden of handling for workers, the customer wants to purchase a bridge crane.
After on-site communication and assessment, the customer's lifting needs are as follows: need to be equipped with a rated lifting capacity of 3 tons of cranes; crane trolley operation needs to be covered by the workshop's main operating areas, to ensure that it can be fully serviced in the various machining centers, assembly workstations and raw material storage areas.The crane needs to lift the workpiece about 1.5 meters above the machine table.In addition, workers need to perform frequent and precise alignment, which requires the crane to have ground remote control operation for smooth lifting of precision workpieces.


Russia's climate and the plant's own conditions present several special challenges for the design and use of cranes:
The temperature in the factory's winter workshop can drop to -25°C.Ordinary cranes may suffer from lubricant solidification, cable hardening, and sluggish response of electrical components at low temperatures.Therefore, we must use low-temperature-resistant lubricants, cold-resistant cables, and wide-temperature electrical components, and ensure that all rubber parts remain flexible at low temperatures.
The plant has been in use for many years and there is some degree of deterioration and cracking in the concrete columns and track beams.We could not design the crane wheel pressure according to the standard load, and had to spread the wheel pressure by optimizing the end beam structure and increasing the number of wheels to avoid secondary damage to the plant.
Machining centers generate a large amount of metal chips and trace amounts of coolant mist during operation.Crane hoists and trolleys that are not adequately sealed may allow swarf to enter the gearbox or electrical box, accelerating wear or triggering short circuits.For this reason, we have retrofitted the hoist with a protective cover and increased the degree of protection of the electrical parts.
The customer could only provide 3 consecutive days of downtime to install the crane.This requires us to complete as much pre-assembly as possible in China, modularizing track segments, end beams, hoists, etc., so that when we arrive at the site, all we need to do is bolt on and commission, greatly shortening the installation cycle.
In response to the production needs of this Russian processing plant and its special operating environment, we supplied a 3-ton single girder overhead travelling crane designed for cold and old plant conditions.
